Sekian Terima Kasih

Malaysian Pigeon Exhibition

Greetings to all members of the MNPA. MNPA would like thank you for your loyalty and support to the Malaysian National Pigeon Association. We also like to thank our extended family members from various countries like the United Kingdom, Philippines, India and Pakistan. Today I wish to inform all our Malaysian members that MNPA is preparing to stage our first pigeon exhibition and breed standard competition.

Many years ago similar pigeon exhibitions were carried out by pigeon enthusiast in Malaysia on a small scale within small townships and amongst friends. Thanks to the internet we now can have a slightly larger scale comprising of almost all the states in West Malaysia. Eventually we plan to go further to our brothers in East Malaysia, Sabah & Sarawak. For now we are happy to announce that some of us at MNPA are on the planning stages for a national pigeon exhibition. To see this thru we will require dedicated members to assist us in making this a reality.

For me this is a dream come true, to be a part of the history of pigeon keeping in Malaysia and the start of the greatest hobby on earth. To make this dream come thru we would need the help of all our esteem members. We need your expertise and your suggestions. The date, time and venue are open for discussion. Please join us. We would get the various media to promote this to the public in the hopes of bringing more people to enjoy keeping exotic and fancy pigeons in Malaysia.

For the first ever pigeon competition, MNPA has only chosen four types of pigeon’s breeds to take part in the breed standard competition. These four breeds is none other than the most common of all breeds available everywhere. They are the Indian Fantail, the American Fantail, The Modena and the Show King. The reason for this is that more members have these breeds with them and so more members can take part.

For those who may not have these common breeds may bring along any other breed, local or imported i.e. Fancy, Utility, Racing, Structure, Color and Performing Pigeons for Exhibition only and not for Competition. Members are also allowed to sell their extra pigeons during the event in hopes to cover their cost if they wish. Please inform your friends and other pigeon keepers who may not have excess to the internet and those who would like to witness this interesting and different kind of event.

We leave with you today a few questions on how execute this.

Venue?, Date? and/or Entrance fee for members and non members?

Thank you

Ben @ MNPA

Importing Pigeons

Posted by Kumar on January 12, 2010 at 10:24 AM Comments comments (1)

Hii, all members as i was browsing the net i got an idea of importing pigeons to Malaysia... As we all imported pigeons are being charged very expensively by those who brought it in. My idea is why dont all the members of MNPA join and cooperate in bringing in some rare breeds from USA. As i can work on getting the right importers and contacts, others can play their parts such as permits, finance.... Pigeons can be imported as cheap as RM500 - 1000  per pair depending on breeds. If any anyone interested lets work on it and gv some commitment.... Thank you .... Regards Kumar
